About GeoSDO
GeoSDO is embarked on an approach toward interaction with the national and international communities by going back to a straightforward engagement with collaborators to get the work done, while providing a fertile ground for the future leaders of America’s geospatial standards developers. Toward that goal, volunteers are requested to offer their personal and professional expertise to get the system up and running, and funders are requested to provide essential lubrication for the system to run.
The vision is to offer a step-by-step guide to provide positive engagements for all stakeholders in the community. As of May 2026, there is room in GeoSDO for nine more people in order to reach the stage of “Double Down With A Dozen”. The goal is for all major participants to allot twelve people in their organization to the tasks of engaging with the design, development, and publication of national and international geospatial standards
